CHILDREN AND CHIROPRACTIC

Why would a child need chiropractic care?  Traumatic birth, learning to walk, playing, falling...…life!  Many parents appreciate the importance of regular checkups for their child’s teeth, eyes, hearing and so on, but draw a blank when it comes to a spinal checkup for their child.  Children have such    an    adaptive    capacity    that

problems are just brushed off as “growing pains” or a phase that they are going through.

Often parents are concerned that chiropractic adjustments will be too forceful for their children – they mistakenly think that they will be like the ones that they receive.  Dr. Purser and Dr. Jones have been trained in pediatric chiropractic both at Western States Chiropractic College and, since they have been in practice, in continuing education seminars.  They know to modify their treatments to the body of infants and children and have had many successes with their young patients.  The adjustments are very gentle and the Doctor’s take their time so as to make sure that the child feels relaxed about the process.

All of the Doctor’s grandchildren have been adjusted from the time that they were a few days old and now often line up for treatments when they come to visit.
