AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS

Unfortunately, in our lives, most people will experience at least one automobile accident.  Although they are sometimes unavoidable, much of the physical damage and suffering from them may, in many cases, be avoided with chiropractic care.  Chiropractors are trained to evaluate people who have been injured by accidents and to check for any misalignments that will, if untreated, lead to chronic problems in the years ahead.

Anyone who has been in a minor accident needs a chiropractic evaluation right away before the muscle spasm that results from such an injury has a chance to ‘lock in’ an injury with protective muscle splinting and painful tightness.  Don’t worry that a chiropractor will agitate an already painful situation.  They are trained to help relieve the symptoms of spasm and bruising and to work within the patient’s level of comfort.

In situations where the accident has caused serious problems it is important and necessary to first attend to conditions such as bleeding, hemorrhage, broken bones, shock and other life-threatening problems.  A medical doctor and/or emergency room staff should attend to these.  After they have done all that they can and say “all you can do is wait to heal”, that is the time to see a chiropractor

Chiropractors can refer a person for an MRI or other diagnostic imaging that may be necessary.  They are also happy to work with, and refer to, other health care practitioners, including MDs, acupuncturists and physical therapists in ensuring that you receive the best, and most thorough care possible.

Automobile insurances cover chiropractic care and the Bridger Chiropractic Clinic has many years of experience in providing them with the necessary paperwork and documentation.
