Each of the doctors have been trained in different techniques, which can be used to find the treatment regimen that best suits your body type and individual condition. Both offer complimentary consultations so you can meet them and determine if they may be the health care professional that you will be able to work with to improve your health.
Feel free to call and make an appointment to see for yourself if this is the opportunity you have been looking for to put you on the next higher level of health.
Dr. Ellen Purser was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. She started college at the age of 16 and graduated, cum laude, from Chico State College with degrees in recreational therapy and psychology. For the next seven years she worked for the State of California mental health services as a social worker in the rural northern California costal area.
In the early 80’s Dr. Purser started working in the health food industry, first for Padma Marketing, then as the executive director for the Association for the Promotion of Herbal Healing. During this period of time she also studied Chinese herbal medicine with Dr. Subhuti Dharmananda. After attending the Buddhist Institutes in Tucson, AZ and Berkeley she spent two years traveling in India, Nepal and Southeast Asia.
Upon her return to the States she completed pre-med requirements and was accepted to Western States Chiropractic College and completed the four-year program in three years, graduating in 1990 as a co-salutorian summa cum laude with the Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
In 1991 Dr. Purser started her Chiropractic practices in both Ennis and Bozeman and, after her marriage to Dr. Jones they began the Bridger Chiropractic Clinic. In the last 17 years she has continued to pursue many areas of interest within the Chiropractic field and has attended numerous seminars throughout the United States.
Dr. Michael Jones was born in Boise, ID and grew up on a dairy farm. He graduated from Meridian High School in 1971, attended Boise State College (now Boise State University) and then spent two years in Chile in South America. He then graduated from Rick’s College (now BYU-Idaho) in 1976 with an associate degree in health science having been awarded the outstanding health science student award prior to graduation.
He was accepted into the physical therapy program at Eastern Washington State College in 1977. The PT program at EWU was closed by the legislature later that year due to funding restrictions. He then farmed with his father-in-law for the next ten years until he decided to return to school.
After completing the required science courses he was accepted at WSCC and completed the four year program in three years, graduating in Aug. 1990 with the Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Since that time he has taken various chiropractic seminars including Gonstead, Diversified, Activator, SOT, Cox flexion/distraction, Nimmo, TBM and various post graduate radiology seminars. He uses diagnostic muscle testing as a tool in determining what level of the spine is not functioning at it’s optimum level and then corrects that region of the spine with Chiropractic adjustments.
